Our Story

Good Earth Tree Care began as a simple dinner-table conversation. Brett Nelson and his wife, Sara, often found themselves talking about how to blend their love for the natural world with their commitment to their community. Living in an urban neighborhood, they noticed something: people weren’t looking up anymore. The beauty, life, and value of the trees around them were often overlooked.

Out of that realization came a mission—to help restore the connection between people and their environment by caring for the urban canopy throughout the greater Grand Rapids area.

What started as a passion has grown into a company built on service, stewardship, and integrity.
